How to add your Affiliate Tracking IDs for Amazon, eBay, Walmart, AliExpress, Etsy, etc.

Your Affiliate Tracking IDs come from your affiliate accounts (Amazon, eBay, etc.) and are used to track sales from your stores so you earn commissions.

Without your tracking IDs, you will not earn any commissions from sales made through your store. This is one of the most important steps when setting up your store.

Each store uses one active tracking ID per merchant at a time. For example, your store has a single Amazon tracking ID saved in its settings, and that's the one it uses for every Amazon click. If you change it, the new one replaces the old one. You don't paste multiple tracking IDs into the same field.

Two Ways to Add Tracking IDs

1. In your store admin area (recommended)

This lets you set different tracking IDs for each store, making it easier to track which stores generate sales.

  1. Log in to your store dashboard
  2. Go to Settings > Offer Settings
  3. Click on the merchant you want to configure (e.g. Amazon)
  4. Enter your tracking ID in the field provided
  5. Click Save

2. In your main account area

Adding tracking IDs here will automatically apply them to all new stores you create. It will not update existing stores.

  1. Go to my.freshstore.com/settings
  2. Enter your tracking IDs for each merchant
  3. Click Save

Where to Find Your Tracking IDs

Each merchant has its own affiliate dashboard where you can find your tracking ID:

Merchant Where to find it
Amazon Log in to affiliate-program.amazon.com, go to Account Settings > Manage Tracking IDs
eBay Your Campaign ID from the eBay Partner Network dashboard
Walmart Your publisher ID from your Impact Radius account
AliExpress Your tracking ID from the AliExpress Affiliate Portal (Account > Tracking ID)
Etsy Your Awin publisher ID from ui.awin.com

Troubleshooting

I added my tracking ID but I'm not seeing sales

Tracking IDs only apply to new clicks after you save them. Any clicks before you added the ID won't be tracked. Also make sure you have cleared your store cache after saving.

How do I check which tracking ID my store is currently using?

Open the store's dashboard and go to Settings > Offer Settings. Click on the merchant (e.g. Amazon). The tracking ID saved in that field is the one your store is currently using for every click through that merchant. If the field is empty, no tracking ID is active and you will not earn commissions from that merchant.

How do I check if my tracking ID is actually working?

The most reliable check is in your affiliate account, not in FreshStore. Each merchant shows clicks and conversions in their own dashboard:

To test in one sitting: open your store, click the buy button on a product, land on the merchant page, then wait an hour or so and check the matching report above. If the click appears and is tagged with your ID, it's working.

A quicker sanity check: hover over any affiliate buy button on your store. The URL shown at the bottom of your browser should contain your tracking ID. If it shows no tracking ID (or the wrong one), double-check Settings > Offer Settings and clear your store cache.

I have many tracking IDs from over the years. How do I tell which ones I'm actively using?

Amazon and some other merchants won't let you delete old tracking IDs, so they accumulate in your affiliate account over time. But that doesn't mean they are all active. The only tracking ID that matters is the one saved in each store's Settings > Offer Settings.

To audit your stores:

  1. Open each store's Offer Settings in turn
  2. Note the tracking ID saved for each merchant
  3. Those are your active IDs. Everything else in your Amazon account is historical and unused.

If you want to clean things up, pick a simple naming pattern (for example mystores1-20, mystores2-20, mystores3-20, mystores4-20), create new tracking IDs in Amazon, and save one in each store's Offer Settings. The old IDs will still exist in your Amazon account but will no longer be in use anywhere.

Does each store need its own tracking ID, or do they share one?

Each store can have its own tracking ID, or you can use the same one across multiple stores. We recommend one tracking ID per store so you can see which store is generating sales in your affiliate reports.

Either way, each store has a single tracking ID field per merchant. You pick one and save it. You don't enter a list of tracking IDs into one field.

Can I use the same tracking ID for multiple stores?

Yes, but we recommend using a different tracking ID per store so you can see which store is generating sales in your affiliate reports.

I don't have affiliate accounts yet

You need to open free affiliate accounts with the merchants first. See the guides linked above for step-by-step instructions.
