Managing Many Stores at Once - Feature Guide
If you run more than one store, you can see every store on one screen and change many of them in one go: turn a merchant on, give each store its own Amazon tag, connect them all to Bing, clean up old offers, and more. This guide shows where each tool is and what it does.
These tools appear once you have two or more stores. They work on FreshStore stores, not WordPress sites.
See every store at once
Open Stores in your account at my.freshstore.com/stores and click Table beside Cards and List. Each row is one store. Use Show to choose what the columns are:
- Affiliate IDs: the Amazon and eBay tag each store really uses, and whether it is your account tag or the store's own. A store that shows a merchant but has no tag for it is marked in red, because it earns nothing there.
- Performance: estimated earnings, affiliate clicks, visitors, page views, products and articles.
- Search: Google and Bing clicks, impressions, CTR, average position and indexed pages for the last 28 days, with the change against the 28 days before.
- Health: whether each store is live, whether its domain is working, warnings, when its figures were last refreshed, and its version.
- Offer health: expired offers, offers out of stock for a week or more, and products with no offer.
- Search drift: Google and Bing clicks and impressions for the last 7 days against the 7 before. A fall of 30% or more shows in red.
Click any column heading to sort by it. Export this view downloads the stores and columns on screen as a CSV file.
Change many stores at once
In the List or Table view, tick the stores you want to change. To tick every store that matches your search or filter, tick the box at the top and choose to select all. A bar appears with the actions:
- Add tag and Remove tag: your own labels for grouping stores, such as a client name or a niche. Only you see them. Use the Tags filter to show one group.
- Change > Turn stores on or Turn stores off: when a store is off, visitors see a coming soon page.
- Change > Turn a merchant on or off: Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart or AliExpress.
- Change > Change a setting: pick any store setting and give it one value for every ticked store.
- Change > Copy settings from a store: copy one store's settings, section by section, to the others. Tags, store names and scripts are never copied.
- Change > Connect to Google or Connect to Bing: adds each store to your Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools and verifies it. Connect your Google or Bing account once first, from any store's Search page.
- More > Clear cache, Use my Amazon US account tag, Refresh stats and Clean up offers.
Before anything changes, you see the name of every store it will touch and what will change on each. Changes that affect what you earn, or reach more than 10 stores, ask you to type the number of stores to confirm.
Clean up offers deletes from each store. It removes expired offers, products with no offer, and empty brands and categories. What it removes goes to the Deleted tabs in each store's admin, where you can restore it for 14 days, one store at a time. After 14 days it is gone for good. A deleted product loses its page, so Google reports that address as Not Found. Out-of-stock offers are only removed if you tick that option, because stock often comes back.
A different value for each store
Choose Change > Edit values per store, or go to my.freshstore.com/store-values. Pick up to three settings, such as Amazon tag (US), and each store gets its own box.
- Type into the boxes.
- Paste from a spreadsheet: copy two columns, the store address and the value, and click Fill from paste. Each value goes to the store with that address, whatever order your spreadsheet is in.
- Use a file: Download for editing gives you a CSV of your stores. Fill it in, then use Upload a file (CSV or Excel).
Click Review changes to see every change by store name. Anything wrong, such as a US tag that does not end in -20, is flagged before anything is saved. Then click Save changes.
For a tag, leave the box empty to put that store back on your account tag.
Give each store its own Amazon or eBay tag
Your account tag is used by every store unless a store has its own. To give stores their own tag, use Edit values above, or go to Settings > Affiliate Networks > Amazon (or eBay) in your account. Under the form is a Tag for each store table: each row shows the tag that store uses, with Change and Use my account tag.
To put many stores back on your Amazon US account tag in one go, tick them and choose More > Use my Amazon US account tag. Later changes to your account tag then reach them too.
Giving each store its own tag lets you see in your Amazon or eBay reports which store each sale came from.
Follow a change, retry, or undo it
Changes run in the background, about 3 to 4 minutes per 100 stores, and you get a notification when one finishes. Click Activity on your stores list to see each change store by store.
- Retry failed stores runs the change again on stores that could not be reached.
- Undo puts settings and tags back as they were, for 7 days. A store you changed again since is left alone, so a newer edit is never overwritten. Undo does not cover Clean up offers: restore those from each store's Deleted tabs.
- Download results gives you a CSV of every store, what it was before and what it is now.
Read your figures from a script or spreadsheet
In the Table view, click Data feeds, then Create a key. Choose which view the key reads and, if you like, only the stores with certain tags. A key can read your figures but never change anything.
- API key: send it as
Authorization: Bearertohttps://my.freshstore.com/api/portfolio-feed. Add?format=csvfor CSV. - Secret link: a CSV link for Google Sheets, using
=IMPORTDATA("link"). Anyone with the link can read those figures, so keep it private.
The key is shown once. Each key allows 60 reads an hour and stops after 12 months. You can switch a key off at any time, and we email you whenever one is created.
Questions and Troubleshooting
I don't see the Table view or the tick boxes
You need two or more stores. The Cards view has no tick boxes, so switch to List or Table.
Some stores show "Cannot change"
Suspended stores and stores still being built are skipped. The reason is shown beside each store in Activity.
Can I give each store its own AliExpress ID?
Not from here. An AliExpress tracking ID only works with the API key and secret of the same AliExpress account, so it is set together with them in each store's admin.
Offer health shows a dash
The store has not sent its offer counts yet. Choose More > Refresh stats, or wait for the daily refresh.
I cleaned up offers by mistake. Can I get them back?
Yes, for 14 days. Open the store's admin and go to the list you need, such as Store > Products > Offers, then the Deleted tab. Restore there, one store at a time.
