How to open your Etsy affiliate account
Etsy moved its affiliate programme away from the Awin network in July 2026. The old sign-up route is closed, and the Etsy pages inside Awin now return a "page not found" error.
There is nothing to sign up for at the moment. Etsy now runs its programme through Rakuten Advertising, and FreshStore does not connect to Rakuten yet. If you open a Rakuten account today, your store has nowhere to put the tracking ID, so please wait.
What your store does now
Your Etsy products still work. Visitors browse them and click through to Etsy to buy, exactly as before. Those links now go straight to Etsy without an affiliate wrapper, so the visits do not earn a commission at the moment.
You do not need to change anything. Nothing in your store is broken, and there is no setting to update.

Should I remove my Etsy products?
No. Etsy products still bring visitors to your store and give them more choice, and you do not need to change anything. Remember that clicks through to Etsy do not earn a commission at the moment.
Which niches work well with Etsy?
Etsy specialises in handmade, vintage, and unique products. It works especially well for:
- Home decor and interior design
- Jewellery and accessories
- Wedding and event planning
- Art and prints
- Crafts and DIY supplies
- Personalised and custom gifts
If your niche includes artisan products that are not sold on Amazon, Etsy products still add choice for your visitors, but they do not earn a commission at the moment.
What about my old Awin account?
If you opened an Awin account for Etsy in the past, it is unaffected by this and still works for any other Awin programme you joined. Etsy is no longer one of them.
Awin refunds the small sign-up deposit once you reach your first payment threshold. If you joined only for Etsy and want that deposit back, contact Awin support directly.
