How to create a custom page for your store
Your store comes with a set of standard pages: About, Contact, Newsletter, Site Map and the legal pages. You can also create pages of your own: a gift guide, a buying guide, a comparison page, a thank you page after a signup.
Creating the page
Go to Store > Pages and click New Page.
- Title: what appears at the top of the page.
- Subtitle: optional, and shows underneath the title.
- Link title: the wording used when your store links to this page, for example in the footer menu. Three words or fewer works best. Leave it empty and your page title is used.
- Slug: the last part of the web address. FreshStore fills this in from your title, and you can change it. Keep it short and put your main keyword in it.
Some slugs are refused because your store already uses that address for something else, such as products or categories, or because another page already has it. Pick another one and the message goes away.
There is also an optional SEO box for the meta title, meta description and keywords. You can fill it in later from the page edit screen.
Visibility
Five switches control where the page shows up. All of them can be changed later.
- Enabled: whether the page is live at all.
- Footer Menu: links to the page from the Pages menu in your store footer. This is how most visitors will find it. Switch it off for thank you pages and opt-in pages.
- Sitemap: lists the page on your store's own sitemap page.
- XML Sitemap: includes the page in the sitemap file search engines read.
- Hide from search engines: asks Google and Bing to keep the page out of their results. The page stays live and visitors can still reach it. Use it for thank you and opt-in pages.
Adding the content
A new page starts with one empty content section. Open Design > Editor, pick your page from the selector at the top, and build it the way you build your homepage: add sections, set them up, press Publish.

Linking to it
Turning on the Footer Menu switch is the quickest route, and it needs Show Pages in the Menu switched on in Design > Store Options under the Footer tab. It is on by default.
To link from somewhere else, such as a button in your hero or a highlight box, use the Choose button on any link field in the Editor and search for your page by name.
Deleting a page
Custom pages can be deleted from Store > Pages. The standard pages cannot, because your store's navigation and templates depend on them. To take a standard page out of circulation, switch it off instead.
Deleting removes the page and everything you built on it, and any link pointing at it stops working.
