Product Content Checker Tool - Feature Guide
The Product Content Checker tool gives you a single list of every product in your store that's missing important content fields. Instead of clicking through products one by one to find gaps, you can spot and fix them in minutes (and use AI to fill the blanks for you).
How it works
The tool scans every enabled product in your store and flags any that have at least one missing content field. Each row tells you exactly which bits of content are missing for that product, so you know what to fix before you click through.
Where to find it
Log in to your FreshStore admin, then go to Tools > Product Content Checker.
What gets checked
The tool checks each product for the following content fields and lists any that are empty:
- Title: the product name shown on your store
- Subtitle: the short tagline below the title
- Link Title: the clickable text used when linking to the product
- Main Content: the long-form product description
- Highlights: the bullet-point feature list
- Summary: the short overview shown in product cards and previews
- Meta Title: the SEO title tag
- Meta Description: the SEO description shown in search results
- Meta Keywords: the SEO keyword list
The "Content Missing" column tells you exactly which of these fields are blank on each product, so you can prioritise the products with the biggest gaps first.
Fixing missing content
Click Edit on any row to open that product in a new tab. From there you can fill in the missing fields manually, or use the AI button (the sparkle icon, ✨) inside the product editor to generate the missing content automatically.
Tip: Each AI generation uses some of your AI Chips, but it's by far the fastest way to fill content gaps across a large catalogue. You can also use the Recreate Missing button at the top of the page to generate content for every product in the filtered list in one go.
Why it matters
Missing meta titles, meta descriptions and summaries hurt your store in two ways: search engines have less to work with (so you rank lower), and shoppers see thin or empty product cards (so fewer click through and convert). Filling these in is one of the highest-leverage tidy-up jobs you can do.
