Full Shopping Cart - Feature Guide
The Full Shopping Cart lets visitors add several affiliate products to one cart on your store and start the buying process from a single Checkout button. It is optional, off by default, and most useful for stores where people typically buy more than one item at a time (fashion, gadgets, accessories, hobby kit).
Watch the short video first for a walk-through of enabling and using the feature, then read on for the detail.
How it works
FreshStore is an affiliate platform, so no payment is taken on your store. The cart is a UX and conversion device that bundles a visitor's intent into one click. When a visitor presses Checkout, FreshStore opens each product's affiliate link in a new tab. The visitor then completes the purchase on each merchant's own site (Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, and so on).
Because each product keeps its own affiliate link, every sale is still tracked correctly to your account on the merchant network.
Good to know: the cart is a multi-tab launcher, not a real e-commerce checkout. Visitors still buy from the merchant, exactly as they would clicking a Buy Now button. The benefit is that they can queue up several products in one go.
Where to find it
Log in to your FreshStore admin and go to Settings > Store Settings. Scroll to the cart section and switch Shopping Cart Enabled on. Save the page and the cart goes live on your storefront immediately.
To turn it off again, flip the same toggle off and save.
Visitor experience
With the cart enabled:
- Product pages show an Add to Cart button alongside the standard Buy button.
- A cart icon appears in the store header with a live item count.
- Visitors can open the mini-cart, change quantities, or remove items.
- The full cart page lists every item with thumbnails, titles, and a single Checkout button.
- Clicking Checkout opens every product's affiliate link in a new browser tab.
From there it is the same flow as any normal affiliate click. The visitor lands on Amazon, eBay, or wherever the product lives, and completes the purchase there.
Tips
- Best fit: stores where multi-item buying is natural, like clothing capsules, tech bundles, hobby gear, or gift sets. For single big-ticket niches it can add friction without much upside.
- Pair with Amazon Add to Cart cookies: the companion Amazon Add to Cart 90 Day Cookies feature extends Amazon's tracking window to 90 days, which works particularly well alongside multi-item carts.
- Track activity: every cart checkout is logged. See Cart Checkouts for the report and what to do with the data.
- Test it yourself: after switching it on, add two or three products on your own store and run a checkout to see exactly what your visitors will experience.
Troubleshooting
- I cannot see the Add to Cart button. Confirm Shopping Cart Enabled is on in Store Settings, save, then hard-refresh your storefront (Cmd+Shift+R or Ctrl+Shift+R).
- Checkout only opens one tab. Most browsers block multiple new tabs by default. The visitor's browser will prompt to allow pop-ups for your domain on the first checkout. After they accept, every following checkout opens all tabs cleanly.
- Cart Checkouts report is empty. The report only fills as visitors actually use the cart. Allow a few days of normal traffic, then revisit the report.
- I want to disable it for one product only. The toggle is store-wide. There is no per-product cart switch.
