Crystal Prism Look - Feature Guide

Prism is a second look for the Crystal template. It gives your store rounded glass cards, pill shaped buttons and a colour gradient made from your own colours. Your content, layout and settings stay the same. Classic, the look Crystal has always had, stays the default, so nothing changes until you turn Prism on.

How to turn on Prism

Make sure your store is on Crystal. Check at Design > Templates, and see the Templates guide for the other five templates.
Go to Design > Store Options.
Open the Look tab.
Set Crystal Look to Prism.
Click Save Settings.

Your visitors see the new look within a few minutes, once your store cache refreshes.

The Look tab only shows when your store is on Crystal. The other five templates each have their own look already.

What changes with Prism

Cards and tiles have rounded corners, with a soft tint of your colour behind each product picture.
Buttons are pill shaped and filled with a gradient from your accent colour to a nearby shade.
The header has a frosted glass finish with a thin coloured line under it.
Section headings have a small gem shape before them.
Fonts change to Bricolage Grotesque for titles and Figtree for the rest, unless you have chosen your own fonts. Fonts you picked yourself are kept.

Prism takes its colours from your colour scheme, so change the scheme at Design > Colour Scheme and Prism follows it.

Prism Colours

On the same Look tab, Prism Colours sets how the buttons are filled:

Two colours (the default) fills buttons with a gradient from your accent colour to a neighbouring shade worked out from it.
One colour uses your accent colour alone. Choose this if your brand has strict colours.

This setting only affects the Prism look.

What stays the same

Prism changes how your store looks, not what is on it. Your products, articles, categories, pages, homepage sections, text, links, images and settings all stay as they are.

Using Custom CSS? Your Custom CSS was written for Classic. After you turn on Prism, open your store and check that it still looks right.

Switching back to Classic

Go to Design > Store Options, open the Look tab, set Crystal Look to Classic and click Save Settings. You can switch between the two looks at any time.

Questions and Troubleshooting

I cannot find the Look tab.

The tab only shows on Crystal. If your store is on Emporium, Bounty, Compass, Podium or Vista, Prism does not apply.

I turned on Prism but my store looks the same.

Wait a few minutes for your store cache to refresh, then reload the page. Also check that you clicked Save Settings.

My fonts did not change.

Prism keeps fonts you chose yourself. To use the Prism fonts, go to Design > Typography and set your fonts back to Crystal's defaults: Outfit for titles and subtitles, Inter for body text.
