Will my name appear publicly on my store?

No, not unless you choose to put it there. Your real name and personal details are not shown on your store by default.

What visitors see

Your store has its own name (which you choose) and runs on a domain (which you choose). Neither needs to be linked to your real name. Your visitors do not see who runs the store, your account email, or your billing details.

Where your name might appear

Your name will only appear in places where you put it yourself. For example:

• If you write articles and add an author bio
• If you add an "About" page that mentions you by name
• If you choose a domain or store name that includes your real name

What about contact form messages from visitors?

When a visitor uses the contact form on your store, the message goes to your store dashboard under Store > Users > Messages. Visitors fill in their own name and email when sending. They do not see your email address or any of your account details.

Affiliate disclosure requirements

You are legally required to disclose that your store earns affiliate commissions, but this disclosure does not need to include your real name. The default affiliate disclaimer that comes with your store is sufficient. For more, see our affiliate disclosure guide.
