Why does the Amazon Link Checker Tool fail for my links?

This article is only about the "Link Checker" tool inside your Amazon Associates account. It is not about the affiliate links on your store. Your store's links, including Add to Cart links, are not affected by this tool's problems and continue to work as normal.

You may have noticed a "Link Checker" tool inside your Amazon Affiliate account. This is used to check that your links are valid, but the tool is not working properly.

When you use this tool, you may see a warning that your links are not valid, but this is not correct. If you keep testing the same link with the tool you will get a "Valid" message, like in this demonstration video:

Your Amazon Affiliate links should look like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1465435840?tag=YOUR-TAG

The "YOUR-TAG" is the amazon affiliate tag that you have set inside your store. It looks something like "yourtag-20" or "yourtag-21".

If you have any doubt about your affiliate links, please contact support and we will be happy to help you.
