Analytics - Feature Guide

Your stores have a built-in analytics feature. This tracks your visitors and gives you reports that show traffic and behaviour.

Where to find Analytics

Analytics lives inside each individual store's admin area, not in your main FreshStore account area.

Log in to my.freshstore.com
Go to Stores & Websites and click Login next to the store you want to check
In the store admin area, look for Analytics in the sidebar

Note: Analytics is per-store. Each store has its own visitor and traffic data. There is no roll-up view across all your stores in the account area. If you have multiple stores, open each one separately to see its numbers.

Visitors and Visits

When a person visits your store, they are known as a "Visitor". They may return to your store multiple times and each one is known as a "Visit".

A single "Visitor" has one or more "Visits".

Actions

During a visit, a visitor will perform one or more "Actions" on your store. The most common action is viewing a page. Other actions include clicking an external link, clicking an affiliate link, adding a product to the cart, sending a message, etc.

Analytics Terminology

In your store dashboard and reports, you will see terms that might be unfamiliar:

Visitor - This is a person visiting your store.
Visit - Each time a visitor accesses your store, this is known as a Visit. A visit can last a few minutes or a few hours and ends when the visitor has been idle for 30 minutes. Each visit can have multiple actions and clicks.
Action - An action is anything that a visitor does while visiting your store. This can be visiting a page, clicking an external link, clicking a download, using your contact form etc.
Click - A visitor may click an affiliate link or another external link in your store. This is known as a "Click".
Bounce - A bounce is when a visitor views only one page on your store. It means that they found your store, viewed one page, and then left without clicking any link or taking any action.

Common questions

Where can I see how many visitors are on my store right now?

Log in to the individual store admin area and open Analytics in the sidebar. You will see recent visitors, visit counts, and page views.

I want to see visitor counts across all my stores in one place. Where can I find that?

Analytics is per-store only. There is no cross-store roll-up view in the account area. Open each store individually to see its Analytics page. If you need a consolidated view, consider recording the numbers in your own spreadsheet each week.

I'm in the account area and I can't find Analytics

Analytics is inside each store, not in the main account area (my.freshstore.com). Go to Stores & Websites in your account, click Login next to the store you want, then find Analytics in that store's sidebar.
