Article Writer - Feature Guide
FreshStore includes a built-in AI article writer. It will take your chosen topic and create articles in a couple of minutes.
You can find the Article Writer in your store dashboard under Store > Articles > AI Tools > Article Writer.
On the next page, enter your Article Topic, SEO Keyword, and several other details. You can also create multiple articles at once, up to ten.
What each option does
- Article Topic. What the article is about. This is the box that steers the writing, so be specific. Click AI Create beside it for a suggestion.
- Keyword for SEO. A keyword to work into the article. Click AI Create beside it for a suggestion.
- Author. The name shown as the author of the article. Click the button beside it to suggest a random name.
- Categories. The article categories this article appears in. You can choose more than one.
- Publish Date (UTC Timezone). Set a date and the article is enabled automatically when that date arrives. Delete the date and the article stays disabled when it finishes generating.
- Create Article Images. Off by default. Turn it on to give the article a Hero, a Listing and a Social image. Leave it off and the article is created with no images.
- Image Quality. Only appears when Create Article Images is on. See the note below.
- Add Related Products. Off by default. Turn it on to add a block of related products underneath the finished article. The AI chooses the most relevant category for them, and you can change the category and the position later in the article editor.
- Add Embedded Products. Off by default. Turn it on to place two products from your store inside the article itself, one after the Pros section and one after the Cons section. You can change or remove them later in the article editor.
If you turn on Create Article Images, an Image Quality choice appears: Standard uses 20,000 AI Chips per AI image, and High uses 80,000 AI Chips per AI image for finer detail and more natural light, but takes a little longer. The writer tries a matching stock photo first and only creates an AI image when none fits, so the image chips are only used when an AI image is created.
The Publish Date allows you to set the article to go live in the future. Adding new articles regularly over time helps your store's traffic and ranking. Creating an article in advance and setting it to be published on a future date is the easy way to achieve this.
What every article gets automatically
Every generated article links into your store, whether you use the two product options or not. Once the content is written, the writer looks for phrases that match the names of your enabled product categories and turns the first mention of each one into a link to that category page. It adds up to five of these links per article, never links the same phrase twice, and never links inside a heading or inside an existing link. This costs no AI Chips and there is no setting for it.
Images work the other way round. Nothing is added unless you switch Create Article Images on before you submit. If you left it off, you can still add images yourself afterwards with the Create Image and Find Stock Image buttons in the article editor.
Every article follows the same structure: an opening section that introduces the topic, then Pros, then Cons, then a closing section. You cannot hand the writer your own outline or format, so the Article Topic box is what shapes the result. You can restructure any article in the editor afterwards.
Once you are ready, click submit to start the Article Writer. It will take a few minutes for it to be generated. After the article is finished generating, you can click the edit button and tweak your article content.
