What are the nameservers for a custom domain?

To use a custom domain, please set the nameservers on your domain to:

ns1.freshstore.app

ns2.freshstore.app

Only two nameservers are needed. Please delete any other nameservers set on your domain.

These nameservers are also shown to you when you add a custom domain to your FreshStore account.

My registrar is asking for the nameserver IP addresses

A few registrars ask for an IP address next to each nameserver name. This usually happens when the registrar makes you register them as "custom" or "private" nameservers first. The addresses are:

  • ns1.freshstore.app is 91.200.176.1
  • ns2.freshstore.app is 109.104.147.1

Most registrars never ask for these. If the form only has a name field, leave the IP address out.

Those two addresses belong to our DNS servers. They are not the address of your store, so please do not put them in an A record.

What if I only want to use a subdomain?

A subdomain such as store.yourdomain.com does not use our nameservers. It uses one CNAME record on your existing DNS, and there is no IP address for it.

Please use a CNAME record and not an A record. FreshStore reads that CNAME to verify your subdomain and to issue its SSL certificate, so an A record will never complete the setup, even if you find an IP address that loads a store today.

The CNAME value is different for every store. Your own value is shown on the Domains page in your account once you have added the subdomain.
