How to change the domain name of your store

You can change the domain name of your store fast and easily in FreshStore.

Changing your store domain

Go to your store list inside your account, and click Manage store on the store you want to change. Open Domain at the top of the page, then under Domain actions click Change domain. Pick the domain and, if you want one, the subdomain, then confirm.

You can change the subdomain and/or the domain of your store in this way.

Questions and Troubleshooting

Will my store settings, products etc. stay the same?

Yes! Nothing will change except for the URL for your store.

How many times can I change the domain?

You can change it as many times as you want.

How do I go back to my old vanity address?

Use Change domain again. Pick the vanity domain your store used before and type your old store name as the subdomain. Your store moves back as soon as you confirm, as long as nobody else has taken that address in the meantime.

Deleting your custom domain does not move your store back on its own. While a store is using a domain, Delete this domain stays greyed out, so change the store's domain first, then delete the old one from Domains if you no longer need it.

Can I start with a Vanity Domain and change to a Custom Domain or Subdomain later?

Yes absolutely - just follow the instructions above.
