Join Travelpayouts with your FreshStore store

Travelpayouts is an affiliate platform for travel brands: hotels, flights, car hire, tours, tickets and travel insurance. It suits travel stores, such as a destination guide, a campervan store or an outdoor holiday store. You open one account, add each store as a project, and then join the brands you want to promote.

What you need before you apply

  • A live store with real content. Products on the homepage and a few helpful articles. Reviewers open your store, and an empty or unfinished store is often refused.
  • A real email address that you check. Approvals and questions arrive there.
  • Your store URL. Use your custom domain if you have one, because that is the address the reviewer checks.
  • A short description of your store: what it covers and who it helps. Two or three sentences are enough.
  • Travel content on your store. Some brands only accept projects that write about travel.
  • A PayPal account or bank account for payouts.

Step-by-step: open your Travelpayouts account

  1. Go to https://passport.travelpayouts.com/registration.
  2. Enter your email address and a password. A promo code is optional. Create the account.
  3. Open the email from Travelpayouts and verify your address. You cannot add a payout method until you do.
  4. Add your store as a project. Choose a website, then enter your store URL and a short description. One account can hold many projects, and each project has its own report.
  5. Add a payout method.

These steps follow Travelpayouts's own help pages as of 15 October 2026. Travelpayouts changes its forms from time to time, so the form may differ. Use the same details if a field has a new name.

Join brands and approval times

  1. In Travelpayouts, open Programs and find a brand with the filters or the search.
  2. Click Details on the brand's card, read the terms and accept the partnership agreement.
  3. Click Join and choose the project (your store).

Some brands accept you at once. Others need pre-approval, which the brand's card shows. Those brands usually answer within three business days. Travelpayouts emails you the result, and the status shows on the brand's page.

If a brand declines you, update your project's description, add travel content that fits the brand, and apply again.

Travelpayouts pays automatically once your balance reaches the minimum for your payout method (50 USD for PayPal). Each payout covers bookings the brands confirmed before the end of the previous month, so commission arrives some time after the click.

Get a link to a page

  1. In Travelpayouts, open the Tools page (the link generator).
  2. Choose the brand and paste the address of the page on the brand's website into the Link field.
  3. Leave SubID empty: your store adds its own (see below).
  4. Copy the partner link.

Some brands also have a Deep Link Generator on their programme page, with a Target URL box. A few brands offer ready-made links only.

The full link starts with https://tp.media/r. If the tool offers a short link, use the full one: your store needs it to add its tracking sub id.

Add the link to your store as a custom offer

A Travelpayouts link goes into your store as a custom offer. The offer puts a buy button with your link on the product page. All the steps below are in your store admin at https://your-store-domain/admin.

For a new product

  1. Go to Store > Products > Products and click New.
  2. Fill in the product title, content and images.
  3. In the Where to Buy (Custom Offer) section, paste your Travelpayouts link into Affiliate Link / URL.
  4. Choose the Locale, add the price in Price (optional), and save.
  5. Go to Store > Products > Offers and open the new offer to set the shop name and price note (see the fields below).

For a product you already have

Open the product, scroll to the Offers panel and click New. The Create a Custom Offer form opens. When you save, the offer is linked to that product.

The fields that matter for a Travelpayouts link

  • Affiliate Link: your Travelpayouts link, exactly as Travelpayouts gave it to you.
  • Shop Name: the name shown on the buy button, for example "GetYourGuide". A tracking link from a network shows no shop name unless you fill this in.
  • Price: the price on the shop's page today. Add Full Price only when the shop shows a discount.
  • Price note: a few words beside the price, for example "per night". "from" goes before the price ("from £89"). Anything else goes after it ("£89 per night"). Leave it blank for a plain price.
  • Locale (under Settings on the right): choose All Locales. Travel bookings work for visitors from any country.

HINT: Adding many products? Use Import CSV on Store > Products > Products. Each row makes one product and its custom offer, with columns such as url, price, price_note and retailer_name (the shop name). Developers can use the Store API instead: see the Store API guide.

For every option on a custom offer, see the Custom Offers feature guide.

Travel prices change daily. Use a price note such as "from" with the lowest price you found, or leave Price blank.

The tracking sub id: which store sent the click

Your store adds a tracking sub id to every Travelpayouts link by itself. You do not need to change the link. Travelpayouts calls this value SubID (sub_id in the link). It shows in your Travelpayouts reports, so you can see which store sent each click and sale when one account serves several stores.

The default is your store's domain with a hyphen for each dot. For example, mystore.com becomes mystore-com.

To use your own value, go to Store > Settings > Offers, find the Custom Offers section and fill in Tracking sub id. Use letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, up to 50 characters. Leave it blank to keep the default.

If your link already has its own sub_id value, your store leaves it as it is.

More detail is in the Offer Settings feature guide.

See your clicks

Go to Sales > Affiliate Clicks in your store admin. The Destination column shows the domain of the link each visitor clicked. For Travelpayouts links this is tp.media. Use the Destination filter to show only those clicks.

The domain is the network's, so all your Travelpayouts shops share it. To see the clicks for one shop, go to Store > Products > Offers, open the offer, and scroll to Affiliate Clicks. Your Travelpayouts reports show the same clicks, split by the tracking sub id. See the Affiliate Clicks feature guide.

Common problems

  • A brand does not accept my project type. Some brands only work with travel websites. Make sure your project is a website and that its description says what travel content you publish.
  • My Travelpayouts report shows no SubID. The link is probably a short link. Make it again and use the full tp.media link.
  • I see clicks but no commission yet. Brands confirm a booking before Travelpayouts pays for it. Check the booking status in your Travelpayouts reports.
  • The buy button shows no shop name. Open the offer and fill in Shop Name.
  • The price on my store is out of date. A custom offer keeps the price you typed. Turn on Keep Custom Prices Fresh under Store > Settings > Offers and your store reads the price from the shop page about once a day. Pages it cannot read keep the price you entered, so check those now and then.
