Your own product ratings - Feature Guide

Give any product in your store your own rating. It tells visitors what you think of the product, and it gives Google a review from you instead of the generated stars.

What a rating has

• Your rating: a score from 1 to 5, in half steps.
• Verdict: a short summary of what you think.
• What we like: the pros, one per line.
• Worth knowing: the cons, one per line.

Your rating is credited to the author name set in your store. If no author name is set, it is credited to your store.

Rate a product

1. Go to Store > Products and edit the product.
2. Open the Reviews tab.
3. In Your rating, choose a score and add a verdict, pros and cons.
4. Save.

Click AI Draft to have AI write a first rating from the product's details. It uses AI chips like the other AI writing tools. Check and edit the draft before you save it.

Rate a product in a review article

1. Edit the article and open the Rating tab.
2. Choose the Reviewed product and your rating.
3. Turn on Use this as the product's rating to put the same rating on the product page.

A rated article uses the Review formula, which shows the rating with the verdict.

Where it shows

• On the product page, as Our review, with your verdict, pros and cons and a link to your review article if you have one.
• On product cards across your store.
• In the Top rated sort: products with your own rating come first, then products with generated stars.
• In Google, when Your ratings in Google is on in Search Engines > Rich Results.

Your rating still shows when product reviews are hidden in your store settings. Your affiliate disclosure shows beside it.

AI-built stores

Stores built with the AI store builder start with a first rating on their products, written by AI. Edit any of them, or clear a rating to go back to the generated stars.

Store API and CSV

Questions

Does my rating replace the generated stars?

Yes, on that product. Products without your rating keep the generated stars.

Can I remove a rating?

Yes. Choose "No rating" and save.
