Can I move my FreshStore to another hosting company?

The short answer is no. FreshStore is not like WordPress or a cPanel-style website where you can download the files and move them to another hosting company. Your store's front end, dashboard, product database, and all its features only run on the FreshStore platform.

What you do own

While the FreshStore platform itself is not portable, you do own:

• Your custom domain name (if you registered one)
• The product data, categories, articles, and pages you created
• Your affiliate accounts and tracking IDs (these belong to you, not FreshStore)
• Any custom content and images you uploaded

You can take this data with you if you decide to leave.

How to export your data

There are two ways to get your data out of FreshStore:

1. The Exporter Tool (inside your store)

Your store has a built-in Exporter Tool that creates a snapshot of your store data including products, categories, articles, and settings. Go to Store > Tools > Exporter in your store admin area.

2. The FreshStore API

Every FreshStore has an API you can use to pull out products, categories, articles, analytics, and settings programmatically. This is the better option if you want to script a migration to another platform or keep an ongoing external backup.

What about my custom domain?

Your custom domain stays with you. If you decide to leave, you can point it at a different website by changing the name servers at your domain registrar. You will need to rebuild the actual store on whatever new platform you choose.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your FreshStore subscription at any time from your account area. Your stores will be deactivated at the end of the billing period. Make sure you export any data you want to keep before cancelling, because you lose access to your store admin once the subscription ends.

Why is FreshStore not portable?

FreshStore provides much more than hosting. The platform handles:

• Automatic price and product updates from every merchant
• Country localisation and multi-currency support
• Built-in CDN, caching, SSL, and security
• AI content generation and product import tools
• Schema markup, sitemaps, and SEO features
• Analytics, cart, and conversion tracking

These features are not files that can be copied. They are services that run on the FreshStore infrastructure.
