FreshStore Terminology

Whether you are a new FreshStore member or a seasoned pro, some words and phrases can be a bit confusing.

So, we created this guide to list all our terminology and help you understand and learn faster.

Affiliate

An affiliate promotes products from a merchant for a commission. You are an affiliate when you run a FreshStore with products from a merchant (e.g., Amazon).

Affiliate Commission

When you make a sale as an affiliate, you earn an Affiliate Commission. This is usually a percentage of the product price but can also be a fixed amount per sale.

Affiliate Tracking ID (aka Affiliate Tag)

This is your unique ID number or code that enables you to track sales and earn commissions. You have a unique Affiliate Tracking ID for each merchant.

Affiliate Link

CDN

This stands for Content Delivery Network and is how we make your stores load lightning-fast. The CDN keeps a cached copy of your store on several servers around the globe, meaning your visitors get fast speeds no matter where they are located.

Cookie

A cookie is a small file stored on a user's device when they click an affiliate link. It helps track their activity and allows you to earn commissions if they purchase during the cookie's lifetime.

Domain Name

A domain name is your store's address on the internet. It's what users type into their browser to visit your store (e.g., google.com, secureonline.store, welovesharks.club).
