Store Footer Referral Link - Feature Guide
Every FreshStore store has a small FreshStore link at the bottom of the page, such as "Powered by FreshStore". If you are in the FreshStore referral programme, that link is your referral link. When a visitor clicks it and joins FreshStore, they count as your referral and you earn recurring commission on their membership.
How it works
It is on by default and needs no setup. Join the referral programme and every store you own starts crediting you straight away, including stores you built before you joined. You do not need to paste your referral link into your stores.
If you have not joined the programme, the link still takes visitors to FreshStore, but nobody earns commission from it.
Referrals from your store footers are paid the same way as any other referral: the same commission rate and the same payouts. You can see your clicks and sign ups in Referrals in your account.

Go to Referrals in your FreshStore account and scroll to Your Store Footers.

Earn from the FreshStore link in my store footers
On by default. If you switch it off, the link stays in your footers but visitors who join through it no longer count as your referrals.
Footer text
The wording of the footer line, in plain text. Put square brackets round the words you want to be the link. For example, Built with [FreshStore], the AI affiliate store builder. links only the word FreshStore. With no brackets, the whole line is the link. A preview shows below the box as you type.

Tick this to put the link back on any store where you switched it off. Leave it unticked to keep your choice on those stores.
Use on all my stores
Applies your footer text to every live store you own. It replaces the footer text on each of those stores, including any store where you wrote different wording. Changes show within a few minutes, and stores you build later use the same text.
Changing one store only
To word one store differently, open that store's admin and go to Store > Text > Global Text. Open the Footer tab and edit FreshStore Link Text. Any words you link to https://www.freshstore.com become your referral link automatically.
To hide the link on one store, go to Design > Store Options in that store's admin and switch off Show FreshStore Link.
Tips
- Keep the link visible. A hidden link cannot earn you anything.
- Match your store's tone. Short wording such as "Built with [FreshStore]" fits most stores.
- Hand-pasted links still work. If you pasted your own referral link into a footer before, it keeps crediting you. Using Use on all my stores replaces it with the standard link, which credits you in the same way.
Questions and Troubleshooting
I have just joined the referral programme. Do I need to update my stores?
No. Your store footers start crediting you as soon as your referral account is active.
My footer still shows the old text.
Store pages are cached for speed, so a change can take a few minutes to appear. If it still shows the old text after an hour, contact support and tell us which store.
The preview says to use plain text.
The footer text box does not accept HTML. Remove any tags and use square brackets to mark the linked words.
