How to change your store favicon
A favicon is the small icon that appears in browser tabs, bookmarks, and search results next to your store name. Setting a custom favicon makes your store look more professional and helps visitors identify your tab in their browser.
How to Change Your Favicon
- Go to Store > Design > Images in your store dashboard
- Look for the Favicon option
- Upload your favicon image
- Click Save
Favicon Specifications
- Recommended size: 32x32 pixels or 64x64 pixels
- Format: PNG, ICO, or JPG
- Shape: Square. Non-square images will be cropped.
- Keep it simple. Favicons are displayed very small. A simple icon or single letter works much better than a detailed logo.
If you don't upload a custom favicon, your store will use the default FreshStore favicon.
Tips for a Good Favicon
- Use your logo's icon. If your logo has a simple icon or symbol, use that as your favicon for consistent branding.
- Use a single letter. The first letter of your store name in a bold font on a coloured background works well.
- Test it. After uploading, open your store in a browser and check that the favicon looks clear and recognisable in the tab.
- Clear your cache. If you don't see the new favicon straight away, clear your browser cache or try an incognito window.
