Launch early and improve often

Getting your store live and earning commissions is more important than making every detail perfect. Follow this guide to avoid the “perfection trap” and get results faster.

The Perfection Trap

When we fall into this trap we spend too much time tweaking design, copy, or product selection before launching.

If you find yourself spending days or weeks on your store before launching, you are in the Perfection Trap.

Why this happens

Usually, this comes from a fear of failure. We are afraid of our store not being a success after putting in the effort.

The truth is that your store could fail or you might need to change some thigns. But the faster you find that out, the faster you can find success.

You only truly fail if you never launch your store.

The Minimum Viable Store

The Building Your Store section in the Profit Playbook will guide you through creating a store as fast as possible without missing anything crucial.

This is the Minimum Viable Store (MVC) that you can test, grow, and build out further.

Finding out what is important

We can only find out what is important in our niche by trying. The faster you can get your store live, the faster you can figure out the right path.

For example, you might find that customers are more interested in one kind of product over another. Or you may notice that they are not buying because they are confused about something, so you can create an article to help them.

The faster you can get feedback, the faster you can find the right path.

Your store is never finished

There will always be something to add, improve, or fix. The key is to focus on the most important things first.

Follow the rest of the Profit Playbook to stay focused on the important things and get your success early.
