Recommendations - Feature Guide
Your store dashboard opens with a box called What to do next and a menu item called Recommendations. It lists the few things most worth doing on your store right now, worked out fresh each time you open it.
What you see on the dashboard
The box shows the top three suggestions. Each one says what to do and why, and its button takes you to the right page to do it.
When there are more than three, a See all link at the bottom opens the full list on the Recommendations page. The green number next to Recommendations in the sidebar shows how many there are in total.
When nothing needs your attention, the box says so. New suggestions appear as your store changes.
Not now and Hide
Each suggestion has two small buttons next to its main button:
- Not now (the clock) puts it away for a while. It comes back by itself, usually after a week or two.
- Hide (the cross) puts it away for 90 days. If you hide the same suggestion a second time, it does not come back.
Some suggestions have no Hide button. These are problems that can cost you traffic or commissions, so they stay until they are fixed. You can still choose Not now.
How suggestions are chosen
FreshStore checks your store every time you open the dashboard: your categories, products, articles, search engine connections, merchants and what your visitors search for. The list changes as you work, so a suggestion goes away as soon as you have done it.
Early on, most suggestions help you finish setting up. Later they help you keep the store growing, for example by filling an empty category or writing a new article.
Launch checklist
Your launch checklist lives at the bottom of the Recommendations page. For each step, use the button on the right to open the matching page or guide. When you have finished a step, click "Done" to tick it off, or "Undo" to change your mind.
If you used an Instant Store to build your store, many of the launch steps are done already. Just click to confirm them.
Setup tips
Store niche
The AI uses your niche to create relevant content, SEO keywords and niche research. Enter the main topic of your store, like "coffee", "travel backpacks" or "playstation games".
Store name
Enter a unique name for your store that matches your niche.
Countries
Choose the countries you want to target and your default country. If you are not sure, keep the default values.
Logo
A logo makes your store look unique. Choose one of the icons for the easiest option, or upload your own logo.
Colour scheme
Choose a colour scheme that suits your niche. For example, a coffee store suits the "Bookworm" scheme, which has browns and warm colours.
