We have watched a lot of people build FreshStores since 2010. The ones who do well have the same handful of things in common, and none of them are talent.

Your first sale

Some members make sales within 48 hours, some within a few days, some after a few weeks. The one thing they have in common is that they stuck at it, followed our recommendations, and never gave up.

Your store goes live with products, categories and articles already in place, so it is working for you from day one. What builds over the following weeks is the traffic, and every guide in this Playbook is about speeding that up.

A little and often is all it takes

An hour a week is plenty. Add an article, share a post, check what people are searching for. Fifty articles over a year is fifty more ways for someone to find you, and you never had to write more than one at a time.

Pick a slot in your week and keep it. That matters far more than how long the slot is.

Do the things that bring visitors first

Ask one question of any task: does this bring traffic or sales? If it does, it goes to the top of the list.

Header colours, footer links and which products sit on the homepage can all wait, and they are easy to change later. Your store is already live and already earning while you get to them, which is the whole advantage of having it built for you.

Give it your full attention

Plenty of other courses and apps will promise you the world. The members who do best are the ones who picked this, worked it properly, and let the rest go past. One store you look after will always beat four you started.

Ask sooner than you think you should

Our support team run their own FreshStores, so they are not reading from a script. If something has you stuck for more than an hour, ask. The Mastermind group is worth using the same way: someone in there has almost certainly hit the same wall in the same niche.

Enjoy it

You are going to spend months looking at products, writing about a subject and talking to people who care about it. Choose a niche you find interesting and the whole thing gets easier, because the work stops feeling like work.
