Staring a Pinterest profile
Pinterest is a visual social platform that can generate a lot of traffic for your store
About Pinterest
Pinterest works like a virtual scrapbook, where users can "Pin" things they like to their own "Pin Boards". It is image driven and works especially well with visually interesting niches.
Creating your account
It is important to setup a Business Account with pinterest, rather than a personal profile. This will give you access to analytics and advertising tools.

When you claim your store in your account settings, you unlock rich pins so that product details (e.g. price and availability) display automatically on every Pin.
Create your Pin Boards
Once your account is open, organize your content into themed boards that reflect your product categories and the interests of your audience.
For example, if you sell kitchen gadgets, you might create boards titled “Easy Weeknight Dinners,” “Kitchen Gift Guides,” and “Cooking Recipes.” Aim for about eight to twelve boards at first; that gives visitors plenty to explore without overwhelming them.
Every board should include a clear, keyword-rich description so that Pinterest's search algorithm knows exactly what each board contains.
Create your Pins
Creating your Pins is where the real opportunity lies.
Always use vertical images with a portrait aspect ratio (your product images usually are) and clean, uncluttered backgrounds. These images perform best in feeds.
In the Pin descriptions, add a 100–200 character caption that naturally includes three to five keywords. End each description with a clear call-to-action, such as "Learn how to make..." or "Shop now for the best deals.".
Product rich pins will automatically pull in real-time pricing and availability from your store, giving shoppers instant, actionable information.
Build your following
Join active group boards in your niche. Search Pinterest for terms like “[your niche] group board” and request permission to join.
Once accepted, treat these boards like mini-communities: share one or two of your top Pins each day, but also repin and comment on other peoples posts. This reciprocity helps your content appear in more feeds and builds relationships with fellow Pinners.
Be consistent
Consistency is key on Pinterest. Rather than pinning erratically, aim to publish around ten to fifteen Pins daily. Mix your own content with high-quality repins from others to maintain a balanced, engaging feed.
Watch your analytics
Use your Pinterest Analytics to guide your posting. Look at which Pins generate the most impressions, saves, and outbound clicks. Pay attention to which boards drive the highest engagement.
When a particular image style or topic resonates (e.g. a step-by-step recipe guide) create more variations on that theme.
This data-driven approach will help grow your following and steadily boost traffic to your store.
