Starting a Facebook Page

Creating a dedicated Facebook Page for your FreshStore is a smart way to tap into free traffic. Much of the work can be automated and the benefits grow over time.

Create your page

Go to facebook.com/pages/create, choose Business or Brand, and enter your store name, category, and description.

Upload your logo as the profile picture and a simple banner that reflects your niche. In the About section, add your store URL and a brief, keyword-rich overview of what followers can expect (e.g. tips, news, product roundups).

Building your page following

First, invite your Facebook contacts to like your page. This will help kickstart the followers and the momentum.

Next, drive people to your Page by joining and engaging in relevant Facebook Groups. Make sure you join the groups as your page and not your personal profile.

Pick groups that match your niche. If you sell motorcycle accessories, for example, join motorcycle rider clubs, brand fan groups, and country specific groups. Engage authentically by:

  • Commenting on threads you find interesting.
  • Answering questions where you have expertise.
  • Sharing insights (“I found this article helpful because…”).

Avoid spamming group members with “Visit my site!” links. Focus on contributing to the group, and members will naturally click your profile to see what your page is about.

Consider partnering with group admins or complementary Pages. Reach out and propose cross-promotion: you can share their best posts on your Page in exchange for them highlighting your content.

Posting to your page

Start posting a mix of helpful content and links to your store. Aim for a 5 to 1 ratio (5 content posts to 1 link to your store).

Share your guides, how-to articles, and other articles to establish authority. Keep links to products and categories to a minimum, especially at the beginning.

Monitor your performance

Track likes, comments, and link clicks in Facebook Insights to see what content resonates. Tweak your posting frequency and content mix to see what works best.

Over time, you’ll build a community that not only follows your Page but also drives more traffic and social signals back to your store.
