What are affiliate cookies?

Your store uses affiliate links to track the sales made and add the affiliate commissions in your account. When a visitor clicks your affiliate link, they are redirected to the merchant (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.) and a cookie is set on their computer or device.

If the visitor clicks away or comes back to the merchant later, the cookie reminds the merchant that they came from your store. This means that you will still get your commissions even if a visitor comes back later to complete their purchase.

How long do the cookies last?

The cookies are set to auto-expire after a length of time. Here are the current cookie lengths for each merchant:

Merchant Cookie Length
Amazon 1 day or 90 days, depending on link type
eBay 1 day
Walmart 3 days
AliExpress 30 days
Etsy 30 days (website) or 7 days (mobile app)
